What Better Day Than #SyrahDay?!
THE ’08 SYRAHS ARE COMING! As our Club members and mailing list subscribers know, our 2008 Syrahs are almost here. For members of the Alta Colina Tasting Club, the ’08 Toasted Slope Syrah and ’08 Old 900 Syrah will be released this Wednesday, February 16th and they will go out in the Spring Shipment on the 28th. Thanks to Hospice du Rhone for giving us #SyrahDay--the perfect day to release these wines! For the rest of the world those wines will become available Thursday, March 3rd. Club members also have exclusive access to a nifty experimental Syrah we did in 2008, the Keystone Syrah. We made one puncheon (a double barrel--about 50 cases) of Syrah in American oak (from the Keystone Cooperage in PA to be exact) and bottled it separately to create this wine.
Why release our wines on February 16th? Why because it’s #SyrahDay of course! Our dear friends at Hospice du Rhone are creating an excuse for Rhone lovers across the globe to spend a whole day tasting, talking, texting, and tweeting the joys of Syrah! You can find us at Anglim Winery this Wednesday evening (new releases in hand) enjoying some serious Syrah. For those of you in the area, come on by! For those of you in other areas, get some friends together, pop a few bottles, and let the world know what you think about Syrah on Facebook, Twitter, or strictly in real life! Check out the facebook event page for details.
Cheers!
