The Rhone Report Has Reported
In the newly released issue of The Rhone Report, Jeb Dunnuck has reviewed Alta Colina alongside over 500 fellow CA Rhones. Big thanks to Jeb for loving our new wines--we received between 89 and 93 points on our second vintage! Visit www.therhonereport.com to read reviews of our wines and many of our neighbors. The entire issue of The Rhone Report is available for FREE at Jeb's website.
Check out the full Rhone Report issue for the full reviews on Alta Colina's second vintage, but here are a few highlights!
-2009 12 O'Clock High-90 points: "Full and deep on nose, the wine is medium+ bodied with a clean, seamless texture, substantial concentration, good acidity, and a very long finish."
-2008 GSM-89 points: "...an impressive, flavor-filled red to consume over the next 5 to 8 years."
-2008 Toasted Slope Syrah-92+ points: "It sports a deep purple color as well as bright, vibrant red and black berry fruits with solid underlying floral, coffee, mineral, and spicy aromas that really come through with air."
-2008 Old 900 Syrah-93 points: "A gorgeous, full bodied Syrah...it sports drop-dead aromatics of brambly dark berry fruits, tar, chocolate and coffee nuances, that while intense, stay light and perfumed."
-2008 Ann's Block Petite Sirah-92 points: "...the wine is full bodied with a rich, mouth-coating, and seamless texture, solid concentration, and loads of ripe tannin. Very well done and while superb now, it should age well."
As you're reading through this issue, keep in mind Jeb is a one-man-show. Donation information is provided at the beginning of the Issue #6 if you want to help him out a little.
